!!News!! Pamela Aidan is back!
The creator of the
Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman series is back with a
delightful online novella. Young Master Darcy begins with
Fitzwilliam Darcy returning for Christmas from his first term at
Eaton. Ms Aidan gives us a glimpse into the life of the Darcy
family, and her vision of how Jane Austen's Darcy came to
be a man "given good principles, but left to follow them in pride
and conceit."

Other Austen-based stories by Susan Kaye: "If I Dream, I
Have You ..." If Anne Elliot and Frederick
Wentworth had not met again while Anne stayed with Charles and
Mary in the fall of 1814, but after her arrival in Bath in
early 1815, things might have been very different for one
of Austen's favourite couples.
Love Suffers Long And Is
Kind, with Laura Louise. On the
gravel path, after Frederick and Anne exchange those feelings
and promises of an earlier time, he tells her: "I was hers in
honour if she wished it ... " The "her" is Louisa Musgrove,
and this "what--if" explores how
Persuasion might have looked had Louisa
Musgrove wished to marry Captain Wentworth.
(Warning: Many hate the idea of separating Frederick
and Anne-in the beginning-but some come to love it better than
the original!)

Read along as the first draft
for "For You Alone ...
" second in the series, is posted
online.

Mercy's
Embrace
by
Laura Louise
Love
Suffers Long and Is Kind ends with Frederick Wentworth married
to Louisa, and Anne Elliot about to marry James Benwick.
While Anne happily settles into married
life, Elizabeth Elliot realizes hers is becoming very
unsettled! As a woman approaching the "years of
danger," she is no longer a young girl in her first blush of
youth, or a woman past her prime. Miss Elliot is that rare
creature that has improved in looks as she has grown older. But, is
she growing finer as a human being, and would anyone notice if she
did? One handsome man of the sea has noticed, and is doing
everything in his power to have her.
Laura Louise is also a
comedienne at heart and pokes a bit of good-natured fun at the
adaptations of Austen.

We are
proud to announce a new addition to the Guild!
Charity Envieth Not
by Barbara
Cornthwaite
In the tradition of The
Guild, Barbara is retelling Jane Austen's Emma from the
hero, George Knightley's point-of-view. We are privileged to watch
as she brings Highbury to life, with all its charm, and gossip! As
the story unfolds, it will be interesting to see Mr. Knightley's
private thoughts on Mr. Elton's surprising marriage, Frank
Churchill's extravagant grooming practices, and a host of other
scenes from this Austen classic.
Welcome Barbara by reading Charity Envieth
Not.
